Clean records a cleaning visit rather than an inspection. It runs as a Job, so it captures what your team did: whether the clean happened, whether stickers or graffiti were found and dealt with, the state of the ground around the asset, and the condition you noticed while you were there. It is available on street furniture, play equipment and outdoor gym equipment, so one cleaning round can cover a bin, a bench, a sign and a climbing frame.

Before you use this checklist: you don't build these — they're built in and matched to your assets. To put one on someone's phone, create an inspection (or a job) on the asset and pick the checklist. A checklist only appears for the right asset type. See How to Use a Checklist.

CONDITION
Overall Condition
NewGoodFairPoorCritical
ⓘ Guidance
Your judgement of the asset itself, not of the clean. Cleaning visits happen far more often than inspections, so this is the most frequent condition reading most assets will get. Choose "Poor" or "Critical" where something needs attention and raise a defect for it.
ENVIRONMENTAL
Clean
CompletedPartly doneNot done
ⓘ Guidance
This is the question the record rests on. Choose "Partly done" where the asset was cleaned but something was left, for example a mark that would not shift, and "Not done" where the clean did not happen at all. Put the reason in the task notes.
Graffiti
None foundRemovedNeeds specialist treatmentN/A
ⓘ Guidance
Answered separately from stickers because the two are dealt with differently and an asset can carry both. Choose "Needs specialist treatment" for anything needing a solvent, a repaint or a contractor, which is worth raising as a defect.
Litter and Surrounding Area
ClearLitter pickedNeeds follow-upN/A
ⓘ Guidance
Covers the few metres around the asset rather than the wider site. Choose "Needs follow-up" for fly-tipping, broken glass or anything beyond a litter pick. Choose "N/A" where the question does not apply to this asset.
Stickers
None foundRemovedNeeds specialist treatmentN/A
ⓘ Guidance
Covers advertising, vape and band stickers and any other applied label. "Removed" means the asset is clear of them now. Choose "Needs specialist treatment" where a sticker has bonded or left adhesive that ordinary cleaning will not lift, which is worth raising as a defect.

Using these checklists in Civic.ly

Every checklist here is built into Civic.ly as a standard template — you don't recreate it. Add the asset, create the inspection or job (standalone or via a routine), pick the checklist, and it appears on the assigned person's phone, with any fault raising a defect automatically. New to this? See How to Use a Checklist.

Common Questions

An inspection records the condition of an asset. A Job records work being done to it. A clean is work, so the checklist asks what was done and what was found while doing it, and the task moving to Done is the record that the round was completed.

Yes. The frequency shown is a recommendation, not a restriction. Set your routine to whatever cadence you actually work to.

Because an asset often has both, and each answer takes one option. Keeping them apart means you can record that the stickers came off and the graffiti still needs a contractor, rather than having to choose between them.
