Short answer
Not for points yet. Every point asset (a bench, a bin, a piece of play equipment) shows as the same blue marker, and when you are zoomed out they group into numbered blue bubbles that split as you zoom in. You can recolour areas, though, and you can narrow the map to the kinds of asset you want to see. Different colours or shapes for different asset types is a good idea and is on our list.

What you can do today
Recolour an area. Right-click an area on the map and choose Fill Color from the menu. This is handy for telling neighbouring or overlapping areas apart, such as a park and the playground inside it, or land you own and land you only maintain. See How to Create and Edit Areas on the Map.
Show only some assets. Open Layer Controls next to the search bar. Geometry Type switches Points, Lines and Areas on and off, and Main Category and Sub Category narrow the map to, say, just Play Equipment. See Overview of Using the Map.
What you cannot do yet
- Change the colour, shape or icon of a point marker, either one at a time or by asset type.
- Show a key (legend) that explains what different markers mean.
Watch-outs
- An area's colour is a visual aid only. You cannot filter, export or report on it, so if you need a list of, for example, owned and maintained land, record that in the Notes field as well.
- The dashboard Task Map is different. It does use colours, red for defects, green for inspections and blue for jobs, but that colours tasks, not assets.
